Clarence A. ITTEN, 77, New Glarus, died Tues 11 Mar 1986 in Madison.  Born 21 June 1908 in Adams Twp to Albert and Otillie (WITTWER) ITTEN.  Married the former Mildred HEFTY 18 Oct 1928 in the Swiss Church parsonage, New Glarus.  Farmed in Adams Twp until 1955 when he moved to New Glarus.  Then worked for the Advance Transformer Co for 10 years before retiring.  Was a member of the Swiss United Church of Christ, the Alpine Club, and the New Glarus Eagles
2604.  Survived by his wife, Mildred; three daughters, Mrs Bud (Delores) POST and Mrs Erwin (Kay) ZWEIFEL, both of Mount Horeb, and Mrs Lawrence (Naomi) MELAND, New Glarus; a son, Gary, Cross Plains, 13 grandchildren and five
great grandchildren.  Funeral Fri 14 Mar 1986 at the Swiss UCC, Rev Fritz WEST officiating.  Burial in the Swiss Church Cemetery.

ITTEN, Mildred - Obit

Mrs Clarence (Mildred) ITTEN, 77, New Glarus, died Tues 25 Nov 1986 in Monroe.  Born 24 Sept 1909 in New Glarus Twp.  Daughter of Casper and Emma (SCHINDLER) HEFTY.  Married Clarence A. ITTEN 18 Oct 1928 in the Swiss Church parsonage.  She worked at Spurgeon's in Monroe for many years before retiring in 1974.  Was a member of the Swiss United Church of Christ, New Glarus, president of the G.U.G.G., president of the Alpine Club, treasurer of the New Glarus Senior Citizens and a worker at the Historical Village.  Was a member and secretary of the New Glarus Chapter Order of Eastern Star for 30 years.  Survivors include one son, Gary, Cross Plains; three daughters, Mrs Bud (Delores) POST and Mrs Erwin (Kay) ZWEIFEL, both of Mount Horeb, and Mrs Lawrence (Naomi) MELAND, New Glarus; two sisters, Mrs Palmer (Verena) ARN and Mrs Jonas (Lucille) ANDEREGG, both of Monroe, 13 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.  Preceded in death by her husband 11 Mar 1986 and by one brother, Burnette.  Funeral Sat 29 Nov 1986 at the Swiss UCC with the Rev Fritz WEST officiating.  Burial in the Swiss Church Cemetery.
