John KEEFE
Surnames: Keef, Dumagan
In memory of John Keefe, who departed this life at his home in Mt. Pleasant, Green County, Wisconsin, on the 18th day of October, 1898. He was born in the County of Kilkenny, Ireland, on the 5th day of May in 1835, coming to America in 1852 and to Janesville, Wisconsin in the fall of 1855. He was married to Elizabeth Dumagan on the 25th day of April, 1858 at Janesville, where he lived until the spring of 1866, when he removed to Green County where he resided until his death. Besides a large circle of friends, he leaves a wife and seven children to mourn their loss. NOTE: A poem follows which is not reproduced here.

Waldo A. KEMPFER, 82, New Glarus [WI] , died Wed 4 Jan 1989 at St Clare Hospital.  The son of Frederick & Rose (WERNER) KEMPFER, he was born 18 Oct1906 in Verona Twp, Dane Co.  On 11 Aug 1927 he married the former Anna B. HEFTY at Verona.  The couple farmed in Primrose Twp, Dane Co, and then in New Glarus Twp, Green Co, until 1971, when they moved to New Glarus.  Mr KEMPFERwas a member of Swiss United Church of Christ in New Glarus and the AlpineClub.  Survivors include his wife, Anna, New Glarus; two brothers, Gilman andLloyd, both of Madison; six sisters, Mrs. Clara HEFTY of Verona, Mrs. EdnaSCHNEIDER of Fort Atkinson, and Mrs. Hilda SELJE, Mrs Gladys HARRISON, MrsRose HUBER, and Mrs. Viola HOLSTEIN, all of Madison; five grandchildren and12 great grandchildren.  Preceding him in death were a son, Clifford, 26 Oct1969; and seven brothers & sisters, Laura and Vernon in infancy, Jose, Fred,Wilbert, Marion, and Alvin.  Funeral services Sat [7 Jan 1989] at SwissUnited Church of Christ.  The Rev William KOEHLER and the Rev E. Mrs. John KITTLESON
Surnames: Kittleson, Dooley
Mrs. John Kittleson died at her home northwest of Albany last Thursday morning, aged 24 years.  She had been in poor health for several months but her last illness was brief.  She was the daughter of Mr. And Mrs. Patrick Dooley of Mt. Pleasant, and was married to Mr. Kittleson a little over three years ago.  Two children were born to them, both of whom preceded their mother to the better land.  Besides the bereaved husband and relatives a host of friends mourn her early demise.  The funeral was held at the Catholic church in this city Saturday.

Ole KITTLESON
Surnames: Kittleson, Johnson
Ole Kittleson died at his home in the Norwegian settlement on Thursday, June 22, 1893 aged 72 years.  Mr. Kittleson was born in Norway in Feb., 1821 and came to Boone Co., Ill in 1845 where he was married to Emily Johnson in 1847.  In 1851 they came to Green Co., and settled on the farm where they have lived since.  Ten children blessed their union, five of whom, with their mother, are left to mourn the loss of a loving and devoted father.  He was a member of the Lutheran church in Dane county and died with a strong faith in the Lord.  During his last illness his constant prayer was that he might be removed to that sweet rest in heaven.  The funeral ws held at his late residence on Friday, conducted by Rev. H.A. Rogers and the remains interred in the Norwegian cemetery.  The bereaved family have the sympathy of all.

Lloyd KLASSY, 71, Hinsdale, died Wed 18 Mar 1987 in Hinsdale.  Born north of Monroe 2 Apr 1915 to Joshua and Minnie (WILLIAMS) KLASSY.  They moved to the Chicago area in 1924.  He worked at International Harvester until retirement.
Survived by his wife, Bernice; a daughter, Debra WOODBURN, and a granddaughter.  Funeral and burial Sat 21 Mar 1987 in Hinsdale.

KLASSY-BROCKMAN, Crystal Falls MI; Jill KLASSY, Middleton, and four grandchildren.  Preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Virgil and Donald.  Services Sat 5 July 1986 at the Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church with the Rev Ronald NYBROTEN offciating.  Interment of cremains in Swiss Church Cemetery.

Wilbert KLASSY, 90, Belleville, died Thurs 23 July 1987 at the New Glarus Home.  Born 24 Sept 1896 in New Glarus Twp.  Son of John and Mary (ELMER) KLASSY.  An accomplished violinist.  Graduate of the Chicago Conservatory of
Music.  Taught violin in Belleville for many years.  Was a member of the First United Church of Christ, Belleville.  Active in the church choir.  Past member of the church consistory.  Was also a painter.  Surviving are a nephew, Claude BECKER, Belleville, and two nieces.  Preceded in death by two sisters, Mrs Elsie BECKER and Sylvia KLASSY, and two brothers, Elmer and Nic. Funeral Sun 26 July 1987 at Becker-Beal Funeral Home Belleville.  Rev E. W. GUINTHER officiating.  Burial in the Swiss Church Cemetery, New Glarus.

Mrs. Robert Koltz, eldest daughter of Mrs. And Mrs. William Struck, passed away at the home of her parents this morning.  She had been suffering with consumption for a number of months.  The funeral will be held at the Baptist Church Saturday afternoon at 2:00.

Mrs Margie KRAMER, 96, formerly of 3819 Monona Drive, died Wed 14 May 1986 at Four Winds Manor, Verona.  Born 30 June 1889 in Tombstone AZ.  Daughter of Daniel J. and Anna Belle (EVANS) WILLIAMS.  At age 1 she moved to Ridgeway with her parents and was raised by her grandparents, Thomas and Margaret WILLIAMS in Dodgeville.  Graduated from Dodgeville HS in 1907.  Married Martin W. KRAMER 17 Sept 1913 in Dodgeville.  They moved to Madison in 1923
where she lived since.  Was a licensesd practical nurse, working in various nursing homes and also private duty.  Was a 50-year member of the Eastern Star of Shullsburg.  Survivors include a son, Robert, Monroe; a brother, Daniel H. WILLIAMS, Ridgeway; three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.  Preceded in death by her husband in 1962, a son, David, in 1966, two brothers, Earl and Howard, and seven sisters, Della LARKIN, Evelyn WALTON, Doris HARRINGTON, Lorraine ANDING, Marian NORDNESS, Ruth KIRCH and Lillian in infancy.  Funeral Fri 16 May 1986 at the Gunderson Funeral Home, 5203 Monona Drive, with the Rev Harvey SCHWEPPE officiating.  Burial in Roselawn Memorial Park.

Frederick KRAUSE
Frederick Krause, aged 85, died at his home on the old Gomber farm, three miles south of Albany, Dec. 29.  The funeral was held on the 1st inst. and the remains taken to the Jug Prairie cemetery for interment.  The family of his son, August, desire to thank the kind neighbors and friends who contributed help and sympathy in their hour of bereavement.

Mrs David R. (Mayme) KUBLY, 84, of Pleasant View Nrsg Home died Sun 11 Oct 1987.  Born in Green Co 30 April 1903...daughter of Thomas & Marie (BLUMER) BLUM...married David R. KUBLY 23 Dec 1920 at St John's Church.  They farmed in Jordan Twp until retiring to Monroe in 1957...later returned to live in the country for 10 years...then became the first residents of the Churchill Woods Apartments in Monroe.  Survivors include one son, Donald KUBLY, Monroe; two daughters, Mrs Willis (Leona) WEISS, Albany, and Gladys ENGELI, South Wayne; two brothers, Elmon, Beloit; and Raymond of TX; four sisters, Ada PERINGTON, Avon; Mrs Weston (Selma) ELMER, Argyle; Mrs Phil (Lillian) GRIMM,

Paul R. KUBLY, 69. 2803 Sixth Ave, retired Monroe businessman, died Mon 15 May 1989...[in Monroe].  He was born in Jordan Center, Green Co, 14 Mar 1920, the son of J. Obit of Robert F. KUBLY [excerpts]
Former Monroe resident Robert F. KUBLY, 63, Freeport IL, died Tues 14 Dec 1982 at the Veterans Hospital following an extended illness.  He was born in Monroe 16 Apr 1919, the son of Jacob & Mary Isabel (HOGAN) KUBLY.  He attended schools in Monroe and worked at Kraft Foods, Monroe, and for several years as a baker for Jack Lowe at Monroe Bakery.  He entered military service at Fort Sheridan IL 30 Nov 1942.  He served as a cook in New Guinea and the southern Phillipines with the 181st Field Artillery Battalion.  He received the Asiatic Pacific Theater Service Medal, a Good Conduct Medal, an American Theater Service Medal, and five Overseas Service Bars.  He served overseas from 27 Sept 1943 to 20 May 1946.  He was dischared a private at Camp McCoy 10 May 1946.  He is survived by his wife, the former Jeanette PAUL; two sons, Bradford & John, and a stepson, Don PAUL; two sisters, Mrs Robert E. [Janet] TSCHUDY & Mrs Lucille CLARK, both of Monroe, and a brother James of Kenosha. Preceding him in death were his parents, two sisters, Luella KUBLY and Mrs Fred (Elizabeth) MAU, and one brother, Herbert.  Funeral...Sat [18 Dec 1982]...Freeport...Burial...Freeport.
