Harry Van Wart was born at Bemis Point, Chautauqua Co., NY Jan. 10, 1830.  He removed with his parents to Rock Co., Wis., in 1845.  He was married to Lucy Scofield Jan. 10, 1855.  Her transition occurred Sept. 30, 1871.  By this union four daughters were born:  Mrs. Kate Mathems, Anna and Bessie Van Wart, of this village and Mrs. Helen Down of Tacoma, Wash.  He was married to Louisa Hamilton April 23, 1875, who survives him.  His home has been in Albany, Wis., since 1856.  He passed to the spirit life Jan. 4, 1894.  And thus another is borne from our midst; fallen asleep on earth to awake in that higher sphere to receive the garment which his bright genial nature and life fraught with kindly acts and deeds have woven for him.  Harry was a firm believer in spiritual truths, fully realizing that “as ye sow, so shall ye also reap”.
